High gas prices didn’t keep people from traveling hundreds of miles for the Gettysburg Civil War reenactments that the area is well known for. It remains to be seen whether the fuel prices will keep bikers away this coming weekend. My bet is it won’t. I’ve already seen bikers roll into town and start spreading their metal all about. I think the next weekend, Biker Week, will be just as incredible as the reenactment this past weekend.

Among the great events to take place this weekend for Bike Week are a concert involving 38 Special, one of Southern Rock’s most popular bands. They’ll play Thursday at 8 p.m. at the All Star Complex on Emmitsburg Road. Confederate Railroad will perform Friday at 8 p.m. Saturday at 8 p.m., The Mustang Sally Band, an all-female country and R&B act, will perform.

Harley-Davidson is offering demo rides of a new bike roll out.

It looks like it will be a great weekend.
