Route 15: All-American Highway
Cats: Adams County, Elsewhere, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania|Adams County commissioners approved a resolution granting the new name to one of America’s most famous routes.
In partnership with some folks in Virginia, historic-minded persons are attempting to promote Gettysburg by using Route 15 as a designated historic highway. If the state gets behind the resolution then the federal government could fund a program that promotes tourism in Gettysburg along Route 15 down to Virginia. It all just makes me feel special.

The Route 15 initiative you are referring to is called “Journey through Hallowed Ground” According to their website, http://hallowedground.org/, “The Journey Through Hallowed Ground generally follows the Old Carolina Road (Rt. 15/231) from Gettysburg, PA through Maryland, into Harpers Ferry, WV, and travels from Loudoun County, VA to Monticello in Albemarle County, VA
