Through mid-August, the National Park Service offers ranger-guided tours to visitors of the Gettysburg battlefield and surrounding area. Not only can you see the entire battlefield, you’ll get a better understanding of history through the eyes of the park rangers. You can learn about Civil War battle history, medical practices of the time, and take hikes along the battlefield. There are programs for adults and young people and each event lasts from 20 minutes to two hours.
