Gettysburg Considers Noise Ordinance
Cats: Events, Gettysburg, Motorcycles/Harleys|Every year for the past seven years, Gettysburg has played host to a bike week. Thousands of motorcycles roll into town and parade the streets with their wheels and squeals. It’s a controversial subject to the townspeople of Gettysburg. Some of us like them; some of us don’t. The don’t crowd wants to regulate their noise.
Bike Week is usually held in July of each year. This year, the Gettysburg Harley Davidson plant sponsored throttle down signs along the streets in town to encourage bikers to be respectful of the residents here. Some people are hoping for the noise ordinance. Some people can just keep hoping. I’m looking forward to the next Bike Week.
