The state of Pennyslvania has announced that the 400,000th farmland preserve has been added to the state’s already huge list. In fact, Pennsylvania leads the nation in farmland preservation and we’re mighty proud of that.

As one of the most rural counties in the state, Adams County is one of the state’s most precious farmland communities. We’re one of 25 counties within the state to be on Pennsylvania’s list of state farmland preserves. We take that commitment seriously and all you have to do to realize just how seriously we do take farmland preservation is to drive around the county and see the number of farms we have standing.

Adams County loves our farmers and we intend to keep them around. We hope you’ll stick around long enough to visit some of those farms while you’re in the area.
