Gettysburg’s Harley man is positioning himself for another run for a casino in Adams County. According to an article in the Hanover Evening Sun, David LeVan says he can do it. His plan, however, hinges on whether another operation planned for Western Pennsylvania is successful or not.

If the other race-track/casino is denied its application or the owners pull their application for any reason, LeVan claims he is poised to introduce another plan that would put a race track and casino further south in Adams County, closer to the Maryland state line. That would get the gambling operation away from the battlefield and draw gamblers from Baltimore and DC, he said.

It’s still a ways off, but if LeVan’s plan succeeds then that will be one more tourist draw for Adams County. If it doesn’t then visitors to the Gettysburg Pennsylvania area may still have a similar opportunity for fun and games, but the drive will be a little further. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
